Video Popups Cookie Events

Overview #

The Videos extension to Popup Maker adds 3 cookie events:

  1. Video Played,
  2. Video Paused, and
  3. Video Ended.

Each cookie is set from the popup editor’s Popup Settings box — Triggers option tab.  Select the Add New Cookie button to display the option setting box labeled ‘When should your cookie be created?’

Add and link a cookie to a trigger as described in the following article.

1)  Video Played #

This event creates a cookie when the video is played. This is useful for making sure the popup will continue to be displayed until the user at least sees the video start

You can also do this automatically by selecting the checkbox labeled ‘Start Video When Popup Opens’ on the Popup Settings box — Videos tab.

2)  Video Paused #

This event creates a cookie when a visitor pauses the video player inside the popup.  An alternate action is to select the radio button labeled ‘Pause the video for easy resuming’ on the Popup Settings box — Videos tab.

3)  Video Ended #

This event creates a cookie when the popup video ends.
